Ali opened her garden to the public in 2021 - and with the visitors came a steady stream of questions. What do I plant now? Why is this thriving at my place but not yours? How do you garden when every region in New Zealand seems to play by different rules?
In 2023, after a chat with long-time friend and radio host Jen Anderson, the pair realised those conversations didn’t need to stay at the garden gate. So they hit record - and Your Garden Coach NZ was born, sharing practical, down-to-earth advice that actually fits New Zealand microclimates.
These days, Jen has stepped back to pursue other interests, but she’s still very much part of the story - supporting in the background - while Ali is joined by new co-host Hannah Twiss.
Together, Ali and Hannah bring you seasonal gardening chat, real-life tips, and encouragement to grow where you are - not where the internet thinks you live.
